Introduction
Kerno calls itself an “AI runtime backend QA engineer,” dedicated to checking the backend code delivered by coding agents. It first learns your application, then runs every change through tests on your real tech stack—covering API tests, security tests, MCP tests, contract tests, and async task tests—catching issues before they go live.
It can be integrated into CI workflows, offers a free trial, and has an enterprise version. AI is writing code faster and faster, while testing and validation can’t keep up. Kerno targets this gap and is suited for teams whose backend code is largely generated by agents.
