Database branch for coding agents to AI
Ardent solves an increasingly common embarrassment: you let a coding agent change a function that requires real data to verify, but you dare not let it touch the production library.
Its approach is to copy the database branch when writing - any Postgres library can copy a complete copy in a few seconds, the agent casually tossed on the copy, running bad and discarded and reopened. Because it is copy-on-write, the copy itself does not account for much storage, and the speed is not affected by the size of the original library.
This ability is also useful for human developers, but in the past we used to use export to import coincidence. When the agent began to run more than a dozen tasks in parallel, each one needed a separate environment, and the cohesive solution could not hold up.
The project is supported by Y Combinator and is aimed at engineering teams of a certain size. The amount of personal project data is small, so it is more convenient to dump one directly. You can directly sign up for a trial on the official website.
