Open-Source Local Personal Agent
Xiryn is a free, open-source personal AI agent. The developers openly state that it’s designed to do what products like Muse, Grok Bot, and Dots can do—with the difference being that it runs entirely on your own computer.
Technically robust: Each agent is assigned its own independent Linux desktop within Docker, where it can browse the web, look up information, write code, and fill out forms in the background—without taking up space on your current screen or messing with the files on your local machine. You can run several of them at the same time, letting each go about its own business.
You'll need to install Docker first, which presents a bit of a hurdle for average users; the advantage is that data stays on your local machine, making it ideal for developers and tech enthusiasts who value privacy but still want to experience a "computer proxy." The cost of the model depends on the API you connect to.
