Originally Quizizz, an AI-based lesson preparation tool used by teachers.
Wayground is essentially the former Quizizz. After its name was changed, its focus shifted from “small in-class quizzes” to AI-assisted lesson preparation.
Once a teacher enters a topic or uploads existing lecture notes or PDF files, the system can generate a complete set of classroom materials, including assessment questions, teaching presentations, videos, and flashcards. If the resulting content is not satisfactory, slight adjustments can still be made—for example, reducing the difficulty level of the questions or translating them into another language for use in international classes. The interactive question-and-answer features and real-time ranking systems originally available in Quizizz are also still available.
It has a large user base among primary and secondary school teachers overseas, and it also boasts a wealth of question bank resources – features that newer AI-based lesson preparation tools simply cannot match. The basic functions are available for free, while schools and districts can opt for the paid version. The interface is primarily in English, making it ideal for domestic teachers who want to create questions for English or bilingual classes.
