Standard Map Service
The “Standard Map Service” website is a publicly accessible platform provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources of China for downloading standard map materials. This website contains all standard map resources available for various provinces, municipalities, and counties across the country. Currently, it offers 249 maps of China, 79 world maps, and 10 thematic maps.
The standard maps are compiled in accordance with the international standards for delineating national boundaries in China and various other countries. They can be used for news promotional illustrations, as插 drawings in books, newspapers, and magazines, as background images for advertisements, or as base maps for the design of handicrafts. Everyone is able to view or download these standard maps for free; however, when using them directly, it is necessary to include the map approval number. The website also provides rankings based on the number of downloads and views.
The website also supports self-service map creation. You can use the simple tools provided on the site to create personalized maps of your own, which you can then download. This feature is available only after users have completed registration.
