MusicBuddy is an AI-powered music creation platform launched by Tencent Music. It is designed for independent musicians and enables them to complete the entire process—from finding inspiration, writing songs, and refining their work to releasing their music, promoting it, and managing its distribution—through interactions with AI.

It combines data about the artwork, fans’ preferences, and current trends to generate inspiration for songwriting. During the refinement phase, users can use natural language to manipulate the track editing tools—for example, moving a particular track backward or adjusting the volume of the vocal track. Works can be released with just one click, and the system will automatically generate music videos and promotional posters. High-quality submissions have the opportunity to receive rewards and further collaboration opportunities.

Relying on distribution platforms such as QQ Music and KuGou is what distinguishes it from pure generation tools like Suno. At present, it is still in the beta testing phase; users need to log in to obtain access to this beta version, and the pricing model has not yet been announced.
