Unified management of multiple AI programming CLIs
Those who are simultaneously using Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Gemini CLI often end up with seven or eight terminal windows open on their desktops, making it difficult to distinguish which window is running which particular project. CLI Manager is an open-source macOS application designed specifically for this scenario, licensed under the MIT License.
It places these CLI agents in the same sidebar, organizing them by project and git worktree. Users can rename their sessions and return to the editor with just one click. The new version includes an AI Control API that allows one agent to initiate and manage other CLI agents, effectively enabling the AI to act as a “task coordinator” and distribute tasks automatically.
The tool itself is free and is suitable for developers who are already using multiple programming agents in parallel. If you only use one CLI, its value is relatively limited.
