Introduction

SaidTrace is a tool for managing recorded audio on Mac. Audio recordings made from iPhones, Apple Watches, or other devices can be imported into your Mac, where they can be transcribed locally. You can then use your preferred AI technology to generate notes or obtain answers to questions based on these transcriptions.

Its distinctive feature is that every search result and response can be traced back to the original audio segment, making it convenient to verify exactly what was said. It also provides an MCP interface that allows other AI tools to access your recorded material. There is a free usage limit available each month, and it requires macOS 14 or later as well as an Apple chip. This tool is ideal for people who frequently participate in meetings or conduct interviews.
