Using the Claude Code to assess programmer candidates through practical exercises
CmdRound is a technical assessment platform designed for recruitment managers, aimed at testing candidates' ability to use AI to write code. Candidates are provided with a link that leads them to a real engineering problem; they have 55 minutes to complete the task using Claude Code.
Upon completion, you will receive a score sheet and a complete recording of the process, which will allow you to see how the candidate approached the problem, directed the intelligent agents involved, and evaluated the results. The fee is a one-time payment of $49 for assessing up to 10 candidates, and the license is valid for one year. As programming-based intelligent agents become more widespread, traditional whiteboard-based assessments will increasingly fail to accurately reflect a candidate’s true capabilities, making this type of evaluation method even more common in the future.
