An AI running coach based on Apple Health data
Runsy is an iPhone app designed to help users with their running training. It automatically generates weekly training plans based on the user’s target races, running records, and daily schedules. The data used by the app comes from Apple Health, including information such as exercise history, heart rate, maximum oxygen capacity, resting heart rate, and weight. Running data synchronized from devices like Garmin, COROS, or Strava can also be integrated into the Apple Health app for use within Runsy.
You can start with workouts ranging from 5 kilometers to full marathon distances; even if you just want to improve your daily physical fitness, that’s completely fine. I will adjust the training plan accordingly: if I miss a workout, I will make it up during my next run; playing a 90-minute football match will also be counted as an intense training session. Business trips and rest days will also be taken into account, with the weekly running distance increasing by around 10%. Before and after any competitions, I will arrange periods of reduced mileage and proper recovery. A practical aspect of this system is that you can first view the first-week training plan generated based on your personal data after downloading the app. Only if you are satisfied with it should you decide to pay for it.
The Pro subscription costs $12.99 per month and includes a 7-day free trial. It is available for both iPhone and iPad. The training plans, pace calculators, and race guides available on the official website are open to everyone for free.
