What is RecurseChat?
RecurseChat is a personal AI application designed for offline and private conversations with local AI systems. It enables users to utilize these local AI technologies as daily assistants, allowing them to interact with local documents and images, import ChatGPT's historical conversation records, and perform full-text searches, among other functions. This powerful, fast, and locally-oriented AI client is suitable for use with various local large language models, including ChatGPT and Claude.
How to use RecurseChat?
RecurseChat allows you to engage in conversations with local AI models, as well as with PDF files, Markdown documents, and images. You can import your previous ChatGPT conversations and continue them locally. To use the floating chat window, simply press ⌘ + ↑ + Enter. You can also customize the personality and appearance of the AI by using either your own GGUF model or models available from Hugging Face.
