An AI programming assistant driven by self-developed models
Praex is an AI programming assistant that can be used on web pages, mobile devices, and via terminal command lines. Unlike many other “shelled” products, it runs on models that it has trained and deployed itself, and claims to have no intermediaries involved in its operation.
The command-line component is derived from the open-source opencode project (licensed under the MIT License). It can be installed with just one command and is capable of reading code, running tests, and fixing errors. The basic Velox II model is available for free on a daily basis; users can try it out without registration. The Pro version costs $20 per month and allows users to utilize the more powerful Faber II model as needed. It also supports integration with one’s own API Key to access other models.
This is suitable for developers who are accustomed to working in the terminal and want to give a free programming assistant a try. To understand how well the self-developed model compares to top-tier large models, it is recommended to test it using your own projects.
