What is gengo.app?
gengo.app is a manga and light novel reader that comes equipped with an OCR dictionary and various tools, designed specifically to assist in the effective learning of Japanese. It enables users to read their favorite manga and light novels by utilizing the OCR dictionary and other language learning resources. This project was greatly inspired by approaches such as AJATT and other immersive language learning methods, as well as by the Kaku Android app – which, at that time, lacked a reliable cross-platform alternative.
How to use gengo.app?
Users can import image files (PNG, JPG), individual images, a folder, or a ZIP file containing images in order to read manga and light novels. The built-in OCR dictionary and tools will assist in learning Japanese.
