What is SimFin?
SimFin aims to make basic financial data freely available to individual investors, researchers, and students by automating data collection processes and leveraging machine learning techniques. It offers market analysis tools, data strategy optimization based on information from over 5,000 stocks, stock filtering functions, backtesting capabilities, and the ability to download data via APIs or in bulk CSV format.
How to use SimFin?
Users can access SimFin’s tools via the website, including a stock screener, a backtesting suite, and data APIs. Data can be downloaded in Python API format, through Excel plugins, via Web-API (JSON), or as CSV files. Users can register for a free account to access the main features of these tools.
