College students were overjoyed on November 1st when the PubScholar public welfare academic platform, jointly developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was officially opened to the public. This platform provides free academic literature services, offering a wealth of scholarly resources to various organizations and members of the general public who have such needs.
This platform leverages the rich and high-quality academic resources owned by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and actively collaborates with academic institutions both domestically and internationally to make these resources as widely accessible as possible. Currently, the platform can retrieve approximately 170 million metadata records, including around 95.48 million metadata entries for scientific papers, 80.13 million for scientific patents, and 480,000 for scientific data.

The content includes journal articles, dissertations, pre-publication papers, patent documents, sector updates, breaking news, scientific data, books, and monographs. Among these 170 million academic resources, approximately 80 million of them can be accessed for free.
On the search details page, you can select documents in the development phase with just one click to directly access their download links and download them for free.

This platform has just been launched, and many of its resources are not yet fully developed. Due to copyright issues, most of these resources currently serve only as a means for searching for relevant information. I believe things will improve over time! Finally, what exactly is CNKI?
