Extract and split page by page
There are two methods available for splitting files; you can choose the one that best suits your needs: If you only need a few pages, use the range-based extraction option; if you want each page to be stored in a separate file, opt for the page-by-page splitting method. With the latter approach, when the files are packaged into a ZIP archive, the filenames will include the page numbers, ensuring that the files are not sorted in random order.
The way page numbers are written is quite flexible; it is acceptable to use either the range format or the single-page format.1-3, 5, 8-10In other words, only pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, and 10 should be retained. The delimiters that can be used include spaces, half-width or full-width commas, and half-width or full-width semicolons. A hyphen is used to indicate a range of page numbers; therefore, page numbers copied from Word documents or chat records do not need to be manually cleaned up before being used. Any page numbers outside the specified range or duplicate values will be automatically ignored, and entering an additional number will not cause any errors.
Complete the process locally in your browser using pdf-lib. For example, you can extract only the signature page from a contract and send it to the other party; or select a specific item from a medical examination report; or cut out a chapter from a textbook. These types of files are not suitable for being shared casually with others anyway.
Files that are protected by passwords, damaged, or encrypted in a special way may not be readable. After extracting the files, check the number of pages and their order; make sure not to overwrite the original files.
