Jan is an open source ChatGPT alternative that runs completely offline on your computer. It leverages open source AI models, prioritizes privacy, and is highly customizable. Jan supports Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems, and a mobile version is under development. It provides an OpenAI compatible API server, allowing local server and API usage.
How to use Jan AI?
Download Jan for your operating system (Windows, Mac or Linux) and run it offline on your computer. Utilize the OpenAI compatible API server located at localhost:1337 for use with compatible applications.
