AStudio is iFlytek’s newly released AI productivity workbench, and one slogan sums up its positioning: no matter how work changes, the tools don’t have to. It isn’t built for any one type of task; instead, it consolidates everything into a single entry point.

The way it works is simple: you give it a goal and leave the rest to it. It figures out what you really want, breaks the task down on its own, decides which tools to use, executes step by step, and finally delivers a finished product. Its output covers four categories—documents, spreadsheets, webpages, and code—and you can preview the work in real time. If you’re not satisfied midway, you can step in and make changes, then let it pick up where it left off.

The dividing line for this kind of workbench is whether the execution process is transparent. AStudio puts the planning steps and tool calls out in the open: you can see exactly which step it’s on and what it’s using at any given moment, rather than waiting minutes and getting a black-box result—if it goes off track, you can stop it right away, which is far less trouble than starting over after the fact.

There’s a web version and a downloadable client, and accounts are handled through the iFlytek Open Platform. Its sibling product iFlytek Xingchen is more focused on agent development, while AStudio is more of a ready-to-use tool for everyday office work—well suited to roles that need to produce a steady stream of documents, spreadsheets, and small pages every day.
