What is Webcam Motion Capture?
Webcam motion capture is a software based on artificial intelligence that allows users to control 3D avatars solely through a webcam. It eliminates the need for expensive motion capture equipment, making virtual YouTube content creation and character animation accessible to a much broader audience. This software tracks movements of the hands and fingers, facial expressions, eye gaze, and upper body actions, and can transmit this data to external applications via the VMC protocol or save it in FBX format.
How to use Webcam Motion Capture?
Download the software suitable for Windows or MacOS, extract the downloaded files, and run WebcamMotionCapture.exe (or the corresponding Mac version). Please follow the user guide to configure and use the software. This application uses your webcam to track your movements and applies them to your 3D avatar.
