An online tool that allows users to create images that can be used to navigate a 3D world
Can a landscape photo, a room, or an illustration actually allow us to “step inside” them? Image Blaster utilizes World Labs’ Marble world modeling technology to transform individual scene images into interactive 3D environments. Users can drag the viewpoint within the browser to preview the scenes and also download the corresponding world files, collision meshes, and panoramic views.
For those who work on game prototypes, virtual scene construction, or the visualization of architectural and interior concepts, this method is far faster than starting from scratch. The resulting images perform better in scenes with clear compositions; however, it is less suitable for creating complex portraits. Currently, free trials are available in studios, but the official website provides little information regarding whether charges will be applied later on. This tool is more apt as a source of inspiration and for prototype development—there is still a significant distance before it can be directly used in production-level projects.
